I learn so much from working with my youngest clients. Children have an innate desire to connect and learn and this helps them benefit significantly from therapy. I have worked extensively with children and have learned that this is a great age for them to develop coping skills that will help them throughout their lives. If a child is experiencing adverse social and emotional behaviors or has experienced any sort of childhood trauma, they can learn how to process uncomfortable emotions, build self confidence and exert their independence.
My areas of specialty include:
- General Anxiety
- Social Anxiety
- Emotional Abuse
- Trauma
- Sexual Abuse
- Self esteem
- Social withdrawal
- Depression
- Aggression
- PTSD
I strive to create an environment in which children feel comfortable and safe. I use several treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based CBT and Play Therapy based on the needs of your child. In addition, I provide consultation to parents to help them effectively support their children and encourage their healing and/or personal growth.
